Waiting for Haylee....

I'm a bit behind on my editing but we've been having a lot of things going on lately. We have about 12 days left until Haylee's due date and we are awaiting her arrival any day now! Having lots of 'practice' contractions and discomfort, we're just waiting for the real thing to kick in! Last weekend we went and stayed on Sarasota Beach with Mimi and Papa G and I have pictures to share from our relaxing stay, I hope to get to those soon! Here are a few I took of Rylee in the knitted top I wore as a little girl! It's so much fun to see these items passed down from generations and to capture them! I hope one day, Rylee or Haylee will have a little girl and they too will wear this top!! Anyhow, I thought the pictures were too cute not to share!!

Stay tuned for Sarasota pictures and hopefully soon the arrival of Miss Haylee!! :) Rylee had a total blast at the beach, playing in the water and the sand, building sand castles with Papa.... It was so great to 'get out' and relax for the weekend! Thank you Mimi and G!

Counting down the days until we meet Haylee and spending as much time with Rylee

A few new shots to share! We are getting things ready and in order. Cleaning the house, changing out Rylee's play area with some new toys, hanging up the clothes, and doing all those final touches, but most importantly, trying to spend as much time with Rylee now while she can have our full attention, Life is about to get crazy busy in the Robertson household! :)

My beautiful little girl, about to become a big sister!

(gotta fix the blown highlights on her cheek), but I just love this sweet little face!

Rylee with her Mimi as we picked Daddy up from work. I would really like to do a session with both Grandparents with the two girls, maybe we can work that out soon once Haylee gets here!

Such a serious little face, but she was having a lot of fun in the wagon at Miss Sara's house when momma came to pick her up! :)

Should I combine blogs, start a new one, or keep them separate?

I need your thoughts, should I keep this blog going and keep the URL and change the title to blog about the family updates, should I stop this one and make a new URL for the family blog, or should I keep a Rylee Blog and start a Haylee blog too.... I mean, knowing how there is no time as it is now, I highly doubt I can maintain two seperate blogs.... so the question is, keep the URL of MyRylee and just change the header, or get a new URL and a new header????????

Anyhow, took some maternity shots last night! I finally talked Mitch into taking some, it's about time that I finally took some pictures of myself now that I am 35.5 weeks along.... I'm usually always behind the camera. I really enjoyed proofing these, there are probably a few more to go through, but they're all pretty much the same thing, white backdrop and black clothes... I hope Haylee will be happy that I finally took some! I also had a session with our friend, Jessica Murariu, at 28 weeks, and when she is finished proofing them, I will share those as well! It's fun to see how much I've grown in the past 7.5 weeks!

Parasol

I got my new Parasol's in this morning, yeah, an oriental paper umbrella! I soooo bad want Rylee to be just a tad older to really get some great pictures with these. She's a little too little still to really hold one of these and really wasn't into it that much.... I just quickly grabbed the camera and tried to catch a few using the green one, we also got a gorgeous blue teal one that will really bring out her eyes! Just wanted to share a few with ya!

I love all facial expressions she is making now, and I could just get lost in those little eyes of her, they totally melt my heart!

My little princess posing for the camera in front of our lovely grill and propane tank, LOL! What a nice backdrop, haha!! I added a TTV frame to this shot, to make it look old as if looking through an old camera viewfinder.

Oh, I just love this one here, My little squirt climbed up the slide backwards because it's so much more fun to go up the slide then the steps! :)

Just another one of her facial expressions that I just love, She is totally locked onto something intriguing here and I just love those little lips! :) Hmmmmm, Rylee.... what are you thinking about? (On a side note, this picture looks like a little on the cool side and probably needs a touch more warmth added to it.... It's so frustrating when the colors online never match what they look like in photoshop, I could have sworn I converted these to sRGB color space)

And one of the parasol, now if I could have only gotten her to look at me and give me one of those addicting little smiles! :) Can't wait to try some more when I'm not immobile due to my increasingly large belly! Haylee, I hope you come soon!!

Off to go look at more Parasol images for inspiration! Have a great day!!!!!!!

Rylee's Big Girl Room Is Nearly Complete!

We made a lot of progress over the long labor day weekend getting the girls' rooms together. We placed Rylee's big girl bed against the wall and added a toddler rail to the other side. We also bolted her other furniture to the wall to prevent it from possibly falling over on top of her. We installed all the child safety features for the room including outlet plugs, corner guards, and closet locks. I took a few quick snapshots so that you can see what we've done to it! Once we finish Haylee's room, I'll post pictures as well. We have her furniture in place, and some decor hung, most of her closet is organized as well. We need to find some curtains, a rug, and a hamper to finish things off, and then of course pictures, pictures, pictures.

For now, Here is Rylee's room minus photographs because I am changing out the color of her picture frames, and/or going to do photowalls with photographs mounted on styrene instead of frames.... We shall see....

Rylee's furniture is all white. We bought pretty much everything from IKEA and got an amazing deal on it all. The canvas above her dresser was hand painted by Rylee herself!

We kept her bright curtains and rug from her 'baby' room because for the most part, I think it all went together still very well. The other canvas hanging over her bed was also hand painted by Rylee, you probably can't see it from here, but it also features her lovely handprint!!! Rylee's bed is a full size, so in case we ever have company, it should somehow work, although, it's probably not all that comfortable :) We installed her toddler rail as well and cleared out her closet getting ready to see what all we'll have to store in there.

Rylee's fabulous artwork from Miss Sara's is nicely displayed above her bookshelf/nightstands. I wanted to hang up all of her art work we've been saving from her arts and crafts at Miss Sara's, I'm thinking a nice display board or cork board would be cool to hang up in her room to feature her art work, but for now, I thumb tacked it up on the wall :) But no worries, we'll patch the pin holes and repaint when it's time.

Rylee snuck in for this picture, lol. She just LOVES books, let me tell you! I swear we read every single book, multiple times a night. She loves to pull them all off and does her best to put them back when we sing the 'cleanup' song. I'm sure in no time, we'll have all three shelves full with books, but for now, she has a really nice collection. Several favorites including Peekaboo Blueberry, Click Clack Moo, and all of her Sesame Street books about shapes, colors, numbers, etc.

Trying to get the best wide angle shot here so that you can see most of her room.

Now I just need to hang up some photographs to complete the room!

Feel free to leave comments, It seems like I never get any comments and I sometimes wonder if anyone is ever reading this! Leave some love!!!!!!! I hope all the family is able to stay up to date with all the things going on in life with reading the blog!

muah!
